In the empty void of space, waited the deranged Metal Firon, who transformed slowly into a dark monster with each passing second. The dark energy it invested from out of nowhere seemed limitless, covering it in the colors black and red as it covered every inch of its existence. Its red eyes still glowed with hatred, feeling the presence of a new arrival coming nearby. It prepared for the challenge that it knew would come.
Firon teleported into the scene, a look of challenge displayed onto his face. His white-golden aura waved along the outer edge of his body. He curled his fists and held them to his sides, floating in space, waiting for the right time to strike. Metal Firon caught his eyes as the two of them stared off at one another, with the white hedgehog looking completely unconcerned by the pure hatred and dark energy he sensed within the robot. Metal Firon grinned its usual evil grin, its savage mind thinking only about itself.
"This is our final fight...and I'll be sure to remove you from existence when this battle is over..." Firon said challengingly, no hint of darkness in his voice. Metal Firon laughed coldly and sickly, as if hearing a really good joke. Firon wasn't surprised nor concerned about the laughter, and kept himself ready just in case of a surprise attack. Soon, Metal Firon stopped its laughter, knowing that Firon wasn't bluffing.
"You pathetic hedgehog...you fake copy...even if you defeat me, the cannon will launch its power on your planet...and destroy it...there's no where else to hide, Firon...my lonesome copy..." Metal Firon smirked evilly, its red eyes flashing and its dark-black aura covering it into the void of space, making it completely invisible and camofluaged. Firon smiled, ideas growing in his head instantly.
"We'll see who's the lonesome copy here..." Firon replied calmly, still smiling without any reason. Metal Firon frowned, his hatred and anger setting off like a fuse as it charged at Firon. Sensing its approach, Firon floated to the side, dodging Metal Firon's attack. Metal Firon attempted several more attacks, missing each one as Firon casually floated to the side of its path. It wasn't long until Metal Firon resorted to chaos attacks, firing off several randomly charged blasts at the white hedgehog. Without a sweat, Firon raised his hand and blocked every blast, which impacted his arm, spread out, and disappeared into the emptiness of space. Firon concentrated on all of his defenses, carefully watching the small pieces of colored metal of his metallic copy as it raced around him, continuing its ongoing spree of energy attacks. As each energy attack grew bigger in size, Firon resorted to a shield, which he ultimately summoned to vaporize a super-sized energy ball that headed for him at light speed.
It wasn't long until Metal Firon gave up and stopped its rampage, floating across from Firon once again. Firon's smile had still marked his face throughout the entire conflict, knowing he had not lost one ounce of energy in his body, while sensing a sudden decrease of energy flow in Metal Firon. The metallic hedgehog's dark aura had disappeared completely, revealing its gray-blackish metal and steel skin, as well as the same black gloves and shoes that Firon possessed. Metal Firon carried a bloodthirsty look of renewed hatred, his anger spent but not dead. Firon deactivated his shield, knowing it no longer had a use. He stared with amusement at Metal Firon, enjoying the look of hate that was displayed on the robot's face, seeing its sharp teeth clenched in silenced, reborn anger.
"Now, who do you say was the pathetic hedgehog?" Firon said remarkably, grinning in triumph. Metal Firon's anger set off like a fuse once more, and charged without a word, traveling at seemingly invisible speed. Firon was expecting this, floating to the side and grabbing Metal Firon's arm as it passed by, pulling it with some of his strength. The result was only the arm, with the rest of the metal hedgehog still charging into nothingness. Firon threw the arm into space, where it floated aimlessly without gravity acting on it. He gave chase to Metal Firon, showing the same nearly invisible speed as the metallic hedgehog had shown, only it wasn't his best speed, which he knew wasn't necessary. Firon knew he didn't have to go far, for Metal Firon would appear very soon because of the rage growing in its robotic soul.
His prediction was correct, barely seeing the black metal of the robotic hedgehog as it attempted to, once again, ram the white hedgehog. Firon sensed its approach, outstretching his hand and catching the sharp fist of Metal Firon within a split second. This time, he used all the strength in his one arm, finally stopping the metallic hedgehog in its tracks, who distastefully took its fist back away from Firon, floating away before more could be done. The metal hedgehog showed total disbelief for what had just happened, stunned and shocked more then ever.
"How could this be? You were weak and inferior not too long ago...but this power is far greater then anything I ever imagined!" Metal Firon screamed out hatefully, making Firon sigh as if he just heard an idiot scream for nothing more then just attention.
"You use the negative qualities of the chaos energy...you can feel it, can't you? The chaos emeralds' power is in you, but its negative. I use the positive qualities, therefore, there is no way you can beat me," Firon replied in his casual, calm voice. Metal Firon glanced at him, frowning even more dreadfully then before, its teeth clenched and speared together, snapping some apart. Its red eyes glowed and continued to shine brightly, and it focused as much dark energy as it possibly could into its body.
"I won't be beaten by you! You may have beaten me those two other times, but this time, I'll win! I'll win! I'll win!" Metal Firon yelled out in protest, charging once more but even more incredibly fast, spin dashing to increase its velocity. Firon wasn't expecting this as the metallic hedgehog rammed its spikes and spines into the super hedgehog's chest and continued to strike its sharp blades deeper into the hedgehog's skin. Firon gasped and yelled out in pain. He grabbed the sides of the spinning metal hedgehog, and with some of the power he held in his mind, focused one very risky attack on Metal Firon.
"Chaos Drain!" Firon screamed out, striking Metal Firon with an energy stream that struck all the way through its spinning core. He struggled to maintain his energy flow as his metallic copy attempted to make his attack backfire, by taking his energy away. As the metal spikes and spines struck even further into Firon's skin, he became losing his stamina. Metal Firon smiled evilly, focusing even harder and taking advantage of the weakened hedgehog's pause. Firon began to feel loss of his own life force and chaos energy as Metal Firon sucked it out of him like a straw.
Firon looked off in the distance, at the giant space station that floated above Mobius, and glanced at its gun. He could see the small barrel hole charging with energy, a white spiral trying to sprout out like a plant. He began to lose hope as his energy was being drained right out of him, along with the fate of the planet falling into Dr. Eggman's hands. He closed his eyes as he began to feel faint, with everything turning dark, with the sounds of battle disappearing.
As he thought he was in reality, he looked around in the darkness before him, noticing he was still in his super form. He stood, his thoughts blank, his limbs feeling weak and fragile. He fell on his knees, struggling to lift his head to look right across from him, seeing the faint outline of Violet in the distance. He stared weakly at her, seeing her body light up and reveal itself fully in the darkness. He gasped silently, but tried to make his way towards her, crawling. Without proper strength in his limbs, he fell to the ground with a loud thud that seemed to echo through the emptiness of the darkness. He proceeded to reach out for her, only to witness her disappearance. A single tear dropped down one of his eyes, sorrow entering the weakened hedgehog.
"V-Violet..." was all he was able to say as he seemingly fainted, only able to use his mind. He laid out in the darkness, anger brewing within his mind. His thoughts raced back to him in a heart beat. He knew if he didn't do anything to stop Metal Firon and the space station, Mobius would be doomed. He couldn't fail, not like this, he couldn't just let his own metallic copy kill him and let the space station destroy his planet. He couldn't let his love down, he couldn't let her die. Determination, justice, and love filled the hedgehog's mind, raising his head from the ground and no longer struggling to stand up. The power he had lost came back to him, with even more of it coming to aid him.
"I won't let the planet be destroyed...I won't let Violet down...I won't be defeated..." he said to himself, not showing any sign of sarcasm but extreme seriousness and bravery instead. He closed his eyes, and breathed easily, the darkness lifting off of him.
Back in reality, Firon reopened his eyes, his energy intact and back in his body. He stared down at the spikes and spines that were still struck in his chest, and the spinning metallic hedgehog that still attempted to kill him. Without hesitation before his chance was taken away, Firon grabbed Metal Firon with all the strength in his entire body, stopping the charge completely, revealing the shocked expression and disappearing grin on the metallic hedgehog's face.
"Chaos Blast!" Firon shot energy out of himself, blasting Metal Firon straight across from him, damaging the metal hedgehog's chest. It lifted its clawed hands to its chest, covering its fatal wound. Firon frowned in disgust, stealing all the energy of his metallic foe as his chaos drain still lived on. Before Metal Firon's eyes, its energy was pulled away from it, turning its black metal fur into its regular gray color, stealing the dark aura, and everything else the metal hedgehog had worked hard to obtain.
"No! How is this possible? I could sense your death! How did you come back! This can't be!" Metal Firon screamed out in loss, throwing its arms into the space above it. Firon laughed comically, glancing at the saddened metal hedgehog as he gained a serious increase in power. The super hedgehog shook his head in pity, smiling once more.
"Because, you were never meant to win..." he said suddenly, charging at his fastest speed possible, ramming and catching the stunned metal hedgehog in his arms. With little to no energy in its body, Metal Firon gave up completely as the superior hedgehog pulled him toward the range of the space station. With the combined energy of the chaos emeralds and dark energy from Metal Firon, Firon didn't hesitate to end this battle once and for all. He locked his eyes onto the gun of the space station, which wasn't too far as he drew closer. He see the white spiral squeezing out even further, charging even more energy and power, preparing to fire at the planet. Firon pressed harder, rocketing even faster as he hurried to get in range of the gun before it was too late.
In a split seconds worth of time, Firon approached the front of the gun as it fired the packed energy from its barrel, shooting a long and wide stream of unlimited power. Firon didn't waste any more time, throwing Metal Firon into the blast, then lifting both hands to block the blast as the metallic hedgehog suffered dearly in the intense heat. Its liquid metal and nano technology proved useless against the great power of the the cannon's blast, finally and completely destroying the metal hedgehog once and for all. With one last look of its red eye, it smiled before its steel muzzle melted and burnt into a crisp, along with its eye. It didn't smile for any beliefs it thought up of the hedgehog not succeeding in stopping the blast, but it smiled because it was finally free of its evil imprisonment, and was allowed to pass on. Even for a robot, it carried a life, and that life was finally put to rest.
Firon pressed against the incredible force of the cannon's beam, with him grunting and struggling to push it back. The blast was proving too strong, pushing the white hedgehog further near Mobius. He sweated and struggled with extreme effort, pressing harder and harder as he felt himself get pushed towards the planet. Soon, another idea popped into his mind, giving him back his smile of determination as he slowly pulled back his hands, charging all the energy possible from every inch of his body, using it all up and filling his finger tips with the sizzling and shaking feeling of electricity. He focused and concentrated hard as he took every ounce of energy from the chaos emeralds and put it all together into one final attack. It wasn't long until it was finally complete, as he drew back far from the slow-moving giant beam of energy that rushed towards its destination. He grinned in victory as he lifted his hands towards the beam.
"Chaos Finisher!" he yelled out, releasing the energy he had packed within his hands and shooting out an energy beam bigger then that one of the cannon. The cannon's beam became consumed and part of the chaos finisher, racing back from whence it came. The space station became contained within the energy in little time, burning within the powerful heat and exploding power. Firon let go of his power flow with his attack, flying off towards the Fire Wing which still floated near the planet, safely away from the exploding space station.
Soon, the space station became corrupted and exploded like the largest bomb imaginable, sending out a massive shock wave that headed straight for the Fire Wing. Firon landed on the jet plane's right wing, touching it with one hand and focusing the last bit of energy he held within him. Before the white-blue shock wave came close to impacting and shattering the Fire Wing, it disappeared as Firon used Chaos Control.
With the threat of both Metal Firon and the space station neutralized, the war was finally over, and Mobius was finally free.
