Act 5: Plan BThis is a featured page

Firon and his team walked through the entrance of the Freedom Fighter camp. There was no one in sight, and everything was dead quiet. Firon grew curious, with Violet getting worried. The entire team began to wonder what had happened. The gray hedgehog turned to his team, looking them all in the eye. They all stared back.

"They probably left early...maybe because of an attack or we took too long..." Violet said slowly. Everyone keep glancing at each other in wonder. Firon stepped further inside the camp, noticing that everything looked as though nothing was touched.

"I think Violet's right...take a good look at the place, everything is still standing. No damage is done, no blood is on the ground," the gray hedgehog replied, walking much further into the camp with his team following not too far behind. Speedix and Violet were the only ones who knew what their leader was thinking. They didn't bother to talk as Firon disappeared into a nearby bunk house. Violet and everyone else waited outside for their leader to return, respecting his decision to have some alone time, searching.

It wasn't long until he came back out, a frustrated look on his face. His team looked at him confusingly, wondering what he was going to say. The gray hedgehog paused for a while, turning around and looking straight at Tails, then Rod. His look changed to a grin as an idea hatched in his complex mind.

"Tails...you still got the Fire Wing?" he asked the orange fox, crossing his arms. Tails grinned back as a response, with Rod appearing besides the orange fox. Firon stared at the golden fox with a determined look.

"Can you still pilot vechiles?" he asked once more, waiting. Rod smiled back and gave the gray hedgehog a thumbs up.

"Yes I can, sir," he answered, still grinning. Striker appeared right next to him, with an nearly identical grin.

"I can be co-pilot...I've had training before, and me and my brother work well as a team," Striker explained, Rod looking at him with a happy smile. Firon laughed a little, and grinned again.

"Don't we all?" he asked randomly, pausing for a bit, looking at Tails before he continued "Get the Fire Wing set up, and we'll all get on. Maybe if its not too late, we can help the others at Robtroplis,"

"I will, sir," Tails replied, jumping off the ground and spinning his two tails rapidly like a propeller, floating in the air. He then flew off to his workshop with intense speed, leaving the others to wait near the gate of the camp. Speedix's short patience began making him feel stubborn. He held his arms across his chest, walking around in circles to avoid further boredom, and looked back and forth between the gate and the workshop. Firon sat against the gate entrance wall, holding onto his mission pack with the three chaos emeralds he had.

Violet had disappeared into her bunk house as Firon was giving out orders, but she came back soon, but not empty-handed. She walked up to the gray hedgehog laying his back against the solid wooden wall, seeing his surprised expression when he saw what she held.

In her hands were two chaos emeralds. One glowed red, the other glowing blue. They were the two chaos emeralds that the Freedom Fighters had already obtained from the start. Violet walked near and sat closely to Firon, dropping the two chaos emeralds into his open mission pack, adding to his collection and giving him a total of five chaos emeralds. Firon looked at her happily and surprisely, making Violet smile back as a response.

"Just two more, and Eggman's history," Firon said to her silently. He watched the others to make sure they weren't listening. He was relieved when he saw them walking towards the door of Tails' workshop, to get word of any news a lot sooner. He then continued "you got your bow and arrow?"

"Yeah...it's in my mission pack...I'll use it when we get to Robotroplis," she replied, looking shyly at an arrow sticking out of a hole in her mission pack nearby. Firon smiled and laid his hands behind his head, sighs of pleasure heard from him.

"I bet you're real good with a bow and arrow, aren't you?" he asked, winking. Violet giggled, sitting closer to the gray hedgehog. She looked deeply into his eyes, making Firon stunned for a moment.

"And I bet you're really strong, huh, muscle boy?" she said childishly. She began feeling the hard, seemingly huge patches of muscle that made small lumps in the skin of Firon's right arm. He didn't do anything, but sat and watched as the purple hedgehog did so. Violet seemed amuse, but her fun was short-lived as she and Firon heard a call.

"Hey, guys, come over here, Tails got the Fire Wing working!" Speedix yelled out in triumph, running right into the workshop, with the remaining half of the team following him in. Firon and Violet got off the ground, picking up their mission packs and hurriedly running into the workshop.

The team was led by Tails, now ready for adventure, to a hanger underground, where the fox built many machines and vechiles. They all looked around in amazement, but finally came upon what amazed them the most. They all stood, with sparkling eyes of joy, at a super-sized jet plane, known as the Fire Wing. It was colored in red and black, with the symbol of the Freedom Fighers painted on the side. It shined brightly, showing it had been cleaned nicely for days. It smelled of a new paint job, and towered over the team.

Tails flew up towards the middle of the jet plane, pulling back the side door that led inside. He then pressed a button inside on the wall, lowering an ladder built into the doorway. Everyone climbed up into the jet plane, walking down the small hallways, getting seated in the passenger part of the plane, with Rod and Striker walking into the pilot room, sitting on the two separate chairs, one in front of the other. Tails quickly got inside, pressing the button to retract the ladder back into place and close the door, then hurriedly rushed into the passanger room, sitting down with everyone else.

The Fire Wing lifted off the ground, retracting its wheels, beginning to point upward at an angle, pointing towards the entrance to a launch tunnel. Rod pressed a button on the pilot keyboard, then quickly raced his hands onto the control sticks. The hanger door opened at the top, revealing sunlight that poured in without remorse. As soon as the hanger door was opened fully, Rod pressed forward on the control sticks, rocketing the Fire Wing into the tunnel, through the wide space, and out into the sky.

Firon and his remaining team held on tight as the Fire Wing began to tilt violently, making everything slide to one side of the passenger room. They only began to relax as the Fire Wing began to straighten its angle, and make the room feel more like a room and not an empty elevator shaft. The gray hedgehog then looked out the window next to him, seeing the blue sky surrounding him, and everything on the surface below. He saw the vast, dark green forests that still lived, the huge and vast oceans and rivers, the sandy desert, and snowy south.

It wasn't long until his eyes were caught onto the looks of a battlefield. Armies of both robots and Freedom Fighters fought near the city of Robotroplis, near its destroyed front wall. He could barely see a blue dot racing around the battle field, using a spin dash to destroy the attacking robots. Explosions were the only clear sign of a battle going on, and Firon became determined to help his comrades before it was too late.

He looked at his team as they all began to rest for a while. They all stared back sleepily, seeing the serious expression on his face. Firon looked back outside, closing his eyes and sighing. He pressed a button, turning on a nearby speaker and spoke clearly and loudly.

"Team...promise me, you'll try your best...this is our last fight...our last chance,"
