All the freedom fighters gathered in the center of their camp, with their leaders standing atop a deck, looking down at the several hundreds of freedom fighters. Sonic the Hedgehog, Firon, Violet, and Speedix were seated near the deck, waiting their turn to speak. Sitting next to Sonic was Knuckles the Echidna and to Firon's side was Fists the Echidna.

A meeting was being held, and everybody wanted to know what the big deal was. Firon waited patiencely for the meeting to start, but his half-brother, Speedix, was repeatably getting up and sitting back down. Sonic finally rose and went onto the deck, staring down at the freedom fighters. Everyone went silent, listening to what the blue hedgehog had to say.

"Fellow freedom fighters...we have succeeded in obtaining yet another chaos emerald...and with its power, we should be able to finally bring Eggman's rule to an end!" cheers were heard from everyone, even the serious-natured Firon grinned, with Speedix cheering the loudest. Sonic continued.

"But, even with an extra chaos emerald, we still need one more...but first, we must prepare for an attack on Robotroplis! I want everyone suited and ready to move out tomorrow night! I'll get a squad ready to search for another chaos emerald, and then, we should all be ready to take on Eggman and finally bring back Mobius!" more cheers of agreement and encouragement were heard throughout the entire camp, with Firon and Violet finally starting to cheer. Knuckles and Fists just sat tight, ignoring the ongoing cheers. Sonic walked down the steps, off the deck, with Firon, Speedix, and Violet walking up onto the deck. Firon turned to face the crowd, speaking first.

"Apparently, my uncle has found the location of another chaos emerald, high in the mountains in the south. I've decided to volunteer for this mission to retrieve it, if anyone would like to come on this mission, get suited up and ready to meet me at the gate, tomorrow morning," Firon finished his speech, stepping aside, allowing Violet to step in and speak.

"I'll be going on the mission as well, and currently we have the red chaos emerald we just found, Firon's green emerald, and Speedix's blue emerald. If we are able to get one more, the odds will be even against Dr. Eggman!" Violet stepped aside, hiding her excitement. Speedix took his turn, stepping forward, and spoke.

"According to current reports, Eggman's robots haven't been able to find any chaos emeralds, Eggman is only in possession of two chaos emeralds, and we have three. Once we get the forth one, we should immedently tried to find the fifth one, then take Eggman's chaos emeralds. Once we have all seven, we'll be able to wipe Robotroplis from existence, and bring back Mobotroplis and Mobius itself to its former glory! Am I right?" Speedix raised his two hands into the air, with cheering following. Speedix grinned and moved slowly away, saying "Of course I'm right,"

Firon crossed his arms, his expression looking as though he wasn't surprised. Violet smiled at the red hedgehog, with Speedix winking at her. She giggled in amusement, with Firon groaning quietly in response. The gray hedgehog turned to her, tapping her on the shoulder. Violet stared at the serious-looking hedgehog, listening.

"We should probably be getting ready...we've got a big day tomorrow," Firon told her, walking away to his bunk house. Violet nodded, even though she knew Firon could not see her. She looked over to the other leaders, seeing Speedix, Fists, Sonic, and Knuckles moving off to their respective bunk houses. She couldn't help but feel some guilt in her heart, seeing the sad glaze in Firon's eyes before he left. She sighed, and walked to Firon's bunk house, which was also her bunk house.

Firon was lying on his bed, staring at the wooden cieling. His thoughts were very excited, and he was determined to be ready for tomorrow. He smiled slightly at his thoughts. He had always wanted to defeat Eggman once and for all, and to bring back Mobius. But he keep wondering what was troubling him. He had waited years for this moment and yet, he felt somewhat empty.

"I just don't know what my problem is..." he said silently under his breath. He got up from his bed, ducking and pulling a box from out under his bed. He lifted and dropped the box on top of his covers, opening it. Inside was a black and green plated shoulder-pad, part of his armor. He slowly slid the shoulder-pad through his hand and arm, locking it onto his shoulder. He then took out a pair of black metal gloves, taking off his regular gloves and replacing them with the metal ones. The final piece to his armor set were a pair of green goggles, with every sensory system ever made inserted in its hard drive. He slipped the goggles onto his head, completing his armor set.

"Hey Firon," a voice called from the doorway of his bunk house. He turned his attention to the doorway, seeing Violet with a depressed look on her face. She looked him in the eye and continued.

"Is there something wrong? I noticed you were depressed or angry when you left the meeting," Firon turned his back to her, thinking for a while. He knew by now what had bothered him: Safety of his friends. He turned to face Violet once again, only to see the purple hedgehog up close to him. He closed his eyes to hide his shame.

"I'm sorry...what is worrying me is the safety of my friends...losing you guys to Eggman would drive me to madness...I don't want that," Firon sighed, opening his eyes again, seeing Violet even closer. She stared into his eyes with surprising attraction.

"Thanks for worrying about us...we might not make it, but as long as we have you, we'll be safe...Speedix isn't my hero though, you are," with that said she closed her eyes and tip-toed up to Firon's height, kissing him. Firon was overtaken by shock, stunned and unable to move. He did not try to push her away however, and simply closed his eyes and let her continue her kiss. It seemed like an eternity as the two hedgehogs kissed, but soon, Violet withdrew, allowing Firon to regain himself.

"We should get some sleep...we have a big day tomorrow like you said," she reminded him, her expression seeming a little embarrassed, easily seen on her face as she blushed. Firon smiled, and replied.

"Indeed, better get your armor on, cause tomorrow, its time to crack that Eggman open wide!"
