Firon hurried through the Great Forest, carrying his mission pack instead of strapping it to his shoulder. It was pitch black, the only light coming from the stars and moon of the night sky, but Firon knew where he was going. He had snuck out of the Freedom Fighter Camp at night time, in another attempt to kill Eggman. Even though he knew he could fail again, he wasn't about to give up.

He raced through the forest, dodging every tree and jumping over every small obsctale, such as the tree roots that struck out of the ground. His stop was on the outskirts of Robotroplis, and this time he was determined to kill the evil dictator once and for all. He pulled out his green chaos emerald from his mission pack, gazing into the emerald's center.

"With your power, I shall succeed," Firon said silently, quickly slinging it into his mission pack, speeding up his pace to near-supersonic speed. Everything around him seemed to turn into nothing but lines of color, his feet seemingly floating off the ground as if he was in control of gravity. Soon, the forest disappeared, and what appeared now was a huge wasteland of oil and desert, Firon slowed down in order to avoid falling into the oil lakes of the huge wasteland.

"This must be the dumpster for all of Eggman's failures...which means I can't be too far," Firon looked up and around the vast dump, trying to spot any signs of a robot or robotic building that could be part of Eggman's capital city. After minutes of turning and switching his eye view, he spotted the city of Robotroplis not too far. It was hard to make out because of the thick smog that covered the metal-covered metropolis, but its faint light made it barely visible. Firon didn't waste any time, he pulled out his chaos emerald, throwing his hand into the air, shouting "Chaos Control!" A green blaze of light quickly cosumed the gray hedgehog as it expanded outward. But soon the hedgehog disappeared as the light collasped upon itself and vanished into nothingness.

Eggman stood on his balconey, watching the city lights below. The sky was a pale gray-black color, filled with smog. The doctor had a frown on his face, instead of his usual grin when he remembered the dream of ruling Mobius. His red jacket was very bright and clean, but it did not shine in the darkness of the city. He rubbed his long, strange orange mustache, thinking to himself. His eyes were blocked off by a pair of very dark black-colored goggles, along with another pair that laid on top of his bald head.

"Everytime it's the same," he said loudly, not caring if any of his robots nearby heard him "That gray hedgehog always breaks into my city and tries to attack me...if I don't do anything soon, it could be the end of me..." The evil doctor made a more ugly and fearful frown, his crooked teeth exposed in anger. He soon calmed himself, putting his arms behind his back, walking towards the door to his sleeping chamber.

Before the doctor's hand could touch the keypad next to the door, a green flashing orb appeared out of nowhere above him. A bright light grew from the green orb, making Eggman duck and block his eyes despite the dark blackness of his goggles. As soon as the brightness dimmed, Eggman brought himself up from the ground, his eyesight returning to normal.

As soon as he stood up looked towards his door, he was shocked with fear. Standing in his way, was Firon the Hedgehog. The gray hedgehog's eyes glowed red with flames, his teeth seemingly sharper then their natural length. Eggman regained himself, and stood perfectly still, looking at Firon with a calmed expression, as if never seeing the hedgehog before.

"Hello, Firon...so, what do you want now?" Eggman asked impatiently. Firon stepped forward, his hands turning to fists, the chaos emerald in one of his hands starting to cut into his old emerald wound.

"You know damn well by now, doctor!" Firon shouted at the doctor, who didn't even seem hurt by the words. Firon quit talking, a disgustful frown marking his face with a look of hate and vengence. Eggman stared into Firon's fiery eyes, seeing the past hatred that still burned within the gray hedgehog. Eggman just laughed, still keeping calm and overdoing his act.

"You foolish little hedgehog...have you ever noticed that the Freedom Fighters will betray you?" Firon's frown turned into a shocked expression, backing off by a few steps.

"What do you mean?" Firon asked in confusion and suspciousion, pointing accusingly at the doctor, who simply grinned at his amusement.

"As long as you keep hunting me down...the Freedom Fighters will just use you to slaughter me so that they can live peacefully, while you do their dirty work!" Eggman pointed at the hedgehog, who's face was filled with fear and shock, sweat dripping down his forehead. The doctor's grin grew wider at his torture, making sure his words stuck to Firon's mind.

"Why not join the Eggman Empire? At least, I won't use you for my own purposes...we shall work together..." Firon heard enough, he immedently jumped forward with his hand flattened as thin as a blade. Using chaos energy, he slashed his hand and cut Eggman's throat. However, no painful screaming or moaning was heard. Instead, the sound of short-circuiting was heard from the cut in Eggman's throat. Firon closely exiamed it, his frown reappearing as he soon found out what had happened: It was a decoy.

"Eggman!" Firon yelled out in fury, his voice echoing throughout the city.

The real Eggman, who was safely far away in another part of the city, heard the voice easily, a vicious smile appearing on his face. He turned his attention to a couple of short hedgehog robots. Their metallic spikes spinning slowly along their backs, their red circle irsises staring at their master, their bodies standing still, lifelessly.

"Find Firon...bring him to me, dead or alive,"
