Everyone jumped out of the way as Metal Firon flew past them, with the metal hedgehog coming back for a second try towards Knuckles and Speedix. Firon, Rod, and Striker all jumped in front of Metal Firon, preparing themselves to block its attack. Firon was the first to suffer the impact, his arms in an X-shape which kept the merciless metal creation blocked.

"Guys, I'll take care of this thing! Just try to get the chaos emerald and keep Eggman off my back!" the gray hedgehog ordered his team, pressing harder on the metal hedgehog. They all nodded quickly and went off to the chaos emerald's hole, with Knuckles and Speedix off to deal with Dr. Eggman.

Firon's eyes met his metal replica's eyes. Both had the same eye color: Blue. But deep in the fake tissue of Metal Firon's eyes were red glowing, hateful metallic eyes. Firon knew that his metal copy might look like him, but it couldn't beat the real Firon. The gray hedgehog kept pressing harder as he stepped forward, pushing Metal Firon further back as the metal copy tried to press harder on its attack.

"You might be able to copy all my moves and know all my skills, but that's not going to help you, since I know everything your going to do! Strange, isn't it?" Firon said to his metal counterpart. The two of them press so hard on each other, they flew upward into the sky. Firon took advantage of this, and punched Metal Firon's face with powerful force, sending the metallic foe crashing back into the mountain.

The gray hedgehog landed on the mountaintop with a thud. Violet noticed him, and called out.

"Firon!" he turned his attention to her, only to begin feeling the ground beneath him shake violently. Firon tried to jump out of the way, but was too late as he got impacted in the back by the sneaky Metal Firon. The gray hedgehog quickly got rid of the pain in his back and did a back flip on Metal Firon's head, kicking the metal creation on its own back. The metal menace flew right back into the mountain, crashing and creating a huge crator in the mountain's surface.

"What is with this thing? It just won't stop trying to attack!" the gray hedgehog exclaimed, landing inside the crator that Metal Firon sheltered himself inside of. Firon began running around in complete circles, moving faster and faster, until he was nothing but a red and gray blur of speed. His metal counterpart was having trouble locking onto its target, and was vulnerable.

Soon, a whirlwind had been generated from Firon's intense speed, picking Metal Firon up off the ground and into the air, giving Firon a chance to attack. In no time at all, Firon quickly jumped up and spun into a spin dash attack. He rammed the metal target with several hundred spin dashes, as he finally stopped and floated in the air, holding out his green chaos emerald. Metal Firon was critically damaged and could barely keep itself up in the air with its nearly-destroyed jet pack. Firon's hands glowed with a bright green glow as he held out his empty hand at his metal counterpart.

"Chaos Blast!" The words sounded off like a trigger to a gun, as a huge energy wave shot its way out of Firon's empty hand, engulfing Metal Firon in an inferno. Firon could see its metal pieces burning off quickly, with some of it smaller parts flying off the mountain side. Soon, the chaos blast subsided, allowing the gray hedgehog to land and check what became of the metallic hedgehog.

Firon stared at where he last saw Metal Firon, seeing melted pieces of the robot's body. But something else had caught Firon's eye as a surprise, and the gray hedgehog drew closer to pick the object up. He reached out through the pieces of burned metal, and pulled out what was a gray chaos emerald. The gray glowing color made Firon's eyes glow gray as well, and a victorious grin appeared on his face. He jumped out of the crator and headed for the other chaos emerald that his team was trying to get, to have a little showdown with Dr. Eggman.

Knuckles and Speedix were dodging every attack that Dr. Eggman threw at them. Huge laser blasts quickly came in storms, forcing both of them to avoid the attack and to keep them from the attacking the doctor himself. Violet, Striker, Rod, and Tails were busy digging out the yellow chaos emerald that was buried very deep in its hole.

"How much more time do we have to wait? We can't keep evading forever!" Speedix complained, dodging yet another storm of energy blasts that blew more holes in the mountain's surface.

"Just a few more minutes!" Tails shouted out, making sure Knuckles and Speedix heard him.

"We don't have a few more minutes! In a few more minutes, the entire surface of the mountain is gonna be destroyed, and we'll end up falling off the mountain to our deaths!" Knuckles replied in an angered tone, punching back a few energy blasts as he jumped aside to avoid the rest of them.

"Just give me the chaos emerald, and I'll make your deaths fast," Dr. Eggman said in an evil and demented voice, laughing manically as he fired more energy blasts and bombs.

"Ya know what Eggman, taste some of this!" a huge flash of green energy hit the side of the egg transport that Dr. Eggman was on, destroying half of his ship and injuring the doctor's arm. Firon stepped closer, with his green and gray chaos emeralds, one in each hand. Everyone looked surprisingly at the gray hedgehog as he made his way over to the evil scientist. Eggman looked at him fiercely in anger and hate.

"Come on, give it up Eggman, you know you can't win!" Firon said in a pleased tone, crossing the chaos emeralds against each other, charging for another attack. Strangely, the dictator wasn't afraid, but laughed another maniacal laugh. He then grinned more evilly and demented then before.

"Oh how foolish you pests really are...I have no time for games! If I can't have the chaos emeralds, I'll destroy it along with you all!" Dr. Eggman hurriedly pressed a button on his control panel, releasing a huge nuclear bomb onto the mountain top, with the dictator flying off. The timer on the side of the bomb was set to ten seconds, counting down. Everyone was scared stiffed and was afraid this was their last day on Mobius. Firon wasn't fooled however, and stepped in between his team, his chaos emeralds still glowing with energy.

Everyone looked at their leader, seeing the gray hedgehog begin to glow with a bright white light as he raised into the air. It was only five seconds until the bomb would explode and everyone's hearts were beating fast and loudly. Firon focused the energy from the chaos emeralds in the area and concentrated. Everyone prepared for the worst as the timer went to one second left. However, a huge white flash erupted from Firon, blinding everyone, only allowing them to hear his words.

"Chaos Control!"
