Somewhere in the Great Forest, far from Eggman's base stood Firon. He had teleported out of Eggman's base just in time before the evil dictator's robots could open fire. Firon held his arms across his chest, his breathing sounding like cursed wheezing. His eyes glowed with a deathening red in the eternal darkness of the night. In one of his hands, he held his green chaos emerald.

"That doctor is always too hard to get to...everytime I get close to finishing him...someone has to distract me..." Firon turned his view to the very faraway lights of Robotroplis. Even though the Great Forest was well hidden and far from the evil, populated city, Robotroplis still towered over most of Mobius. Firon fell to the ground, realeasing his grip on his chaos emerald, allowing it to drop to the ground. He groaned.

"I hate that doctor so much...he took everything away...my family, my life, and even my own planet...he's gone too far...I'll kill that bitch once I get the chance..." As he finished his promise to himself, he heard something move in the forest. He quickly got up, gripping his chaos emerald once again, and studied where he heard the sound. He relaxed a bit when he saw a purple-blue hedgehog pop out of a bush in the forest.

"What was that for, Violet?" Firon asked impatiently "You nearly startled me!"

"Sorry Firon," Violet replied, looking down at the grass in shame "Everyone was wondering where you went...we all got worried,"

"I told you before, I was taking my chances to get my revenge on Eggman...I don't care if Sonic says it's too dangerous...I want my revenge..." Firon gripped his empty hand into a fist, his other fist bleeding as the sharp edges of the chaos emerald cut into his hand. Blood fell on the grass, staining it with a dark red color. Violet became more and more concerned as she saw the anger on her friend's face. Firon took notice of this and ungripped his fists, falling to the ground. Violet walked to his side, crouching to tend to his hand wound.

"I know your angry at Eggman, but you don't have to take it so seriously," she told him, taking out mediance and bandages from her mission pack.

"Don't you get it? He killed my parents! He took away my life! He took control of our planet, he even killed and harmed nearly all the Mobians! I'll make him pay..." Firon replied, his tone sounding deep and threatening.

"I know how you feel...but don't let you anger control you...otherwise it'll just be for the worst," Violet pulled out a shot booster from her pack, while removing Firon's black glove which revealed his many bleeding cuts "Now hold still, this will only hurt for a second," As soon as the shot booster struck his wound, Firon recoiled violently but still kept still.

"There, that will prevent any infections that the chaos emerald may of had on it, and also prevent the chaos energy from taking you over," she told him calmy as she packed the shot booster. She quickly put the mediance over and on the wound then placed a bandage on it. Firon sat up, replacing his glove on his hand, he stared at Violet.

"Out of all the Freedom Fighters, you're the only one who seems to care about me...my half-brother, all he does is insult me and challenge me. And Sonic is no different from him. The rest of the Freedom Fighters including my uncle...they all just...hate me..." Firon stared down at the red stained grass, his eyes turning into their normal blue color. Violet put her hand on his arm, which caused Firon to turn his attention back to her.

"That ain't true...you've just been worrying us for so long with your missions of "Eggman Hunting" and you know Sonic and Speedix, those two are just show-offs and love to race"

"I guess you're right...I just wish Eggman were dead...then I could finally get some rest...or perhaps start a celebration," Firon replied, standing up. Violet got up from the ground and looked in the distance where the lights of Robotroplis shined.

"I'm surprised that city even has lights, with all the smog that surrounds it..."

"I know...I've been to Robotroplis more then once trying to attack the dictator...but he's always got something or someone to distract me, allowing him to escape..." Firon told her, looking back at the city lights "Perhaps Mobotroplis is still there..." Violet stared at Firon, with a new subject in mind.

"We better head back to the camp, Sonic said he wanted to have a word with you,"

"Like every other time," Firon replied ignornatly. He quickly picked up Violet off the ground, with the purple hedgehog holding onto his shoulders "Hold on tight" As soon as Violet gripped firmly, Firon got in his running position and soon zoomed out of sight into the forest.
